JAMSHEDPUR – The Bhojpuri Cultural Forum Jamshedpur will host the “Bhojpuri Idol Season 2” singing competition on January 25, 2025, to celebrate Bhojpuri music and provide a platform for local talent.

The forum’s chief patron, Bharat Singh, and program coordinator, lyricist Tomar Satyendra, shared details about the event’s objectives and plans. Bharat Singh emphasized the aim of preserving Bhojpuri cultural heritage and engaging the younger generation through such initiatives.

Competition Structure and Schedule

Bhojpuri Idol Season 2 will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Auditions: Scheduled for January 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  2. Semi-Finals: Selected participants will compete on January 19, 2025.
  3. Grand Finale: The top 20 contestants will perform on January 25, 2025.

The winners will receive cash prizes of ₹5001 for the first place and ₹3001 for the runner-up, along with certificates and mementos for all finalists.

Registration Details

Interested participants can register until January 10, 2025. Registration forms are available at Bharat Singh’s office in Sakchi (Binda Apartment, Mill Area). The registration fee is ₹300. Both auditions and semi-finals will also be held at the Sakchi office.

Encouraging Bhojpuri Talent

Tomar Satyendra highlighted that this is the second edition of the competition, with the first held in 2007. He expressed excitement about providing artists an opportunity to showcase their talent, fostering growth in Bhojpuri music.

This event promises a vibrant celebration of Bhojpuri music and culture, drawing talent from across the region to spotlight their skills.
