RANCHI – The Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, has officially inaugurated the DigiYatra Facility for Ranchi and 7 other airports from Visakhapatnam Airport.

This initiative has been simultaneously extended to eight additional Airports Authority of India (AAI) airports.

These include Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Bagdogra, Goa (Dabolim), Coimbatore, Raipur, and Patna.

This move marks a significant milestone in enhancing the digital experience for air travelers across the country.

The DigiYatra Facility aims to provide a contactless, seamless, and efficient travel experience by utilizing real-time facial biometric validation technology.

Passengers can now expect a streamlined process from entry to boarding, reducing the need for physical checks and making the overall experience more efficient.

The introduction of DigiYatra at these key airports aligns with the government’s broader vision of leveraging technology to enhance passenger convenience and security.

The expansion of this facility is expected to cater to the growing demands of air travelers, especially in the wake of rising air traffic.

“DigiYatra is a step forward in making air travel more convenient and secure. We aim to offer a world-class digital experience to our passengers,” said a spokesperson from the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

This initiative is part of a broader push towards smart airports, integrating advanced technologies to meet global standards.
