Cracker dealer attacked with sharp weapon at Jugsalai Bata Chowk

Jamshedpur: Lochan Mangotia, a cracker dealer of Jugsalai Bata Chowk area was today attacked by a middle-aged person Saturday morning and he sustained grievous injuries in the head as a result. The injured businessman somehow managed to nab one of his attackers, while another person accompanying him managed to escape.

Injured Lochan Mangotia was rushed to Rajasthan Sewa Sadan Hospital. Later, he was referred to MGM Hospital. He has received serious head injuries. The police have identified one of the attacker as Jagannath Prasad. He lives in ME Road area. According to the police he claimed that four years back when he had gone to cracker shop of Lochan Mangotia, he was assaulted by him and that is why he too attacked him.

Later Lochan Mangotia said that he was reading a newspaper in the morning near his shop, when the attacker suddenly attacked him. He fell down as a result, while the people standing nearby nabbed the attacker. He said that he does not recognise the attacker. On the other hand, his younger brother expressed suspicion that his brother may have been attacked as a part of a bigger conspiracy. The injured person is nephew of Rajesh Mangotia, who is currently in jail in connection with Hotel Alcor case.
