Central Peace Committee meets to discuss preparations for upcoming Ramnavami festival

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration convened a meeting of the Central Peace Committee and the representatives of Kendriya Ramnavami Samiti and different Akhada Samitis in view of the upcoming Ramnavami festival. The meeting was held at Sidhgora Town Hall on Saturday and was chaired by the DC Vijaya Jadhav herself.

The Central Peace Committee met to discuss the approaching Ramnavami celebration with members from the Akhara committees, the district’s administrative and police authorities, and the Central Ramnavami Committee.

The administration issued several significant instructions and urged the Akhara committees to celebrate the event in a calm and amicable way.

These instructions covered things like avoiding upsetting religious sensibilities, limiting the number of vehicles allowed on procession routes, prohibiting the use of DJs and elephant or horses in the parade, and putting in place other essential administrative precautions.

Police officials, Akhada committee licence holders, members of the Central Peace Committee, and members of the Akhara Committee also attended the meeting at the Sidhgoda Town Hall. All the attendees agreed to the need to celebrate Ramnavami in a peaceful manner and in compliance with the rules laid down by the district administration.
