They asserted that the attack on Dr. Ajoy Kumar and the State President were motivated by this fear.

They claimed that the party workers are presently denouncing the assault by setting fire to effigies of the Tripura Chief Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah.

On the other hand, a group of Congress supporters led by Neeraj Singh, the District President of the Young Congress, vented its anger at Bhalubasa Chowk by setting fire to effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of Tripura.

They charged that the administration was trying to stifle the voices of the common people and was acting in a dictatorial manner. Neeraj Singh lambasted the central government and vehemently condemned the incident in Tripura.
