Met dept predicts heavy rains in next 24 hours

Jamshedpur: Pre Monsoon rains have started in the city. The meteorological department has warned of heavy rains on June 11 and 12.

According to the department, monsoon is likely to arrive in Jamshedpur by June 15.

According to the Meteorological Department, 46.01 mm of rainfall has been received in the month of May this year, which in itself is a record.

At the same time, the met department also estimates the monsoon to be normal this year and its impact will remain till the middle of September.

A drop in temperature was recorded on Thursday due to intermittent rains since morning.

According to the meteorological Department official Rajiv Prasad Verma, this year the rains will be good and should help the farmers get good crops.

However, he has warned of heavy rains for the next two days. He appealed to the common people to take precautions.
