Union Govt will soon deal with increase in petrol prices: MP Bidyut Mahato

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato today said in Jamshedpur that the union government would soon be able to control the price rise and would take steps to control the increase in petrol prices.

Mr. Mahato was addressing a press conference in Jamshedpur after arriving in the city after having taken an active part in the budget session of the Parliament.

Addressing a press conference in his office in Bistupur on Thursday, he described the Union Budget as balanced and visionary.

He said that even amidst severe difficulties during Covid-19 pandemic, the government at the Centre has taken care of every section.

Defending the union government, he said that due to the sudden upsurge in the market, the prices of petroleum products are increasing.

However, he expressed confidence that the Central Government will soon deal with this.

On the question of removing subsidy from cooking gas by the central government, he said that the needy will continue to get subsidised cylinders as before.

For the common people, he said, the subsidy has been removed for now, but soon the central government will take a decision on it.

He said that inflation has increased in the country due to covid pandemic, but the central government is viewing this matter seriously and the situation will be under control very soon.

Defending the PM Narendra Modi, he described the farm laws as being in the interest of farmers.

He said that for the last 6 years PM Modi is the Prime Minister of the country, but not a single case of loot and corruption has taken place.

He said that work should be done to make Jamshedpur city roads snarl-free. He said that a flyover from Mango to Bhilai Pahadi is being considered. If this does not happen, then the problem of traffic jams in the city will become huge in the coming days, he said.

He said that Tata-Dhanbad Swarnarekha Express, and Howrah-Sambalpur Ispat Express, which were discontinued due to the Corona epidemic, will be made operational soon. Talks are on with railway officials about this, he said.

He said that talks are going on for restarting Barkakana-Jhargram passenger train too.

At the same time, he said that a proposal of water supply through pipelines to the farmers of Patmada area of ​​Jamshedpur has been given to the state government.

He said that if the state government accepts this proposal, then there is a possibility of large scale farming in Patamda area.
