Adhunik Power Celebrates Environment Day, Honors Balasore Train Accident Victims with Tree Planting Ceremony

On the occasion of the 50th Environment Day, Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited commemorated victims of the Balasore train accident with a tree planting ceremony and organized an awareness campaign on environmental conservation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited (APNRL) marked the 50th Environment Day by paying a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the tragic Balasore train accident. The company organized a solemn ceremony at its premises where employees and officers planted saplings in memory of those who lost their lives in the incident.

Raising awareness about environmental conservation, APNRL hosted a cycle rally, attracting participation from villagers and employees from surrounding communities.

United, they chanted slogans advocating for environmental protection and conservation.

The company also observed a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the Balasore train accident in Orissa.

The planted saplings stand as living memorials to their memory.

The event was graced by Arun Kumar Mishra, the CEO of Modern Power and Natural Resources Limited, Padampur, who served as the chief guest.

Mishra underlined the significant threat plastic pollution poses to the global ecosystem in his address and stressed the shared responsibility of all individuals to reduce plastic usage and protect the environment.

An art exhibition featuring paintings created by children, focusing on the theme of environmental conservation, was a highlight of the event.

These young artists were applauded for their remarkable contributions to the campaign.

APNRL further recognized the academic achievements of Komal Kumari, Yash Kumar Sharma, and Neelam Kumari, who achieved the highest percentages in the 10th examination.

The company planted a total of 2400 saplings within its premises to further its commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.

To extend this initiative beyond the company, an additional 350 saplings were distributed to promote tree plantation in the wider community.
