Corona allows Great Tusu, no death for 36 days

Jamshedpur: As citizens of Jamshedpur celebrate Tusu Parab, Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Bihu and Lohri amid coronavirus pandemic, one good encouraging piece trend has been the good news is that there has been no death caused by coronavirus for the last 36 days in East Singhbhum district.

As per official data, 15 more positive coronavirus cases have been detected in the district taking the total number of infections to 17,839 in East Singhbhum.

On the other hand, 18 patients were cured and discharged from different hospitals and quarantine too, taking the total number of cured patients to 17,309.

For now, the district has only 156 positive cases of corona.

As per official data, till date 4,93,293 samples have been tested in the district, out of which 17,839 tested positive, while 4,75,454 tested negative.

On Wednesday, the recovery rate for East Singhbhum district was 97.11%, while the mortality rate was2.10%. The positivity rate for the district too has come down to 3.62%.
