Tata Group Officials Led by Vinod Kulkarni Visit Tata Workers Union, Jamshedpur

Top executives from Tata Group companies explore the functioning and history of the Tata Workers Union, expressing considerable interest and admiration.

JAMSHEDPUR -A delegation from the Tata Group, spearheaded by Vinod Kulkarni, the Head of CSR at Tata Motors, paid a visit to the Tata Workers Union in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.

Among the team were Shaur Patel, CSR Sustainability Manager of Tata Communications, and Ellen Joseph, who heads the Kalinganagar CSR division for Tata Steel Foundation.

The distinguished guests were received by Union President Sanjeev Chaudhary Tunnu, General Secretary Satish Singh, and Deputy President Shailesh Singh.

The executives were educated on the union’s historical backdrop, further enriched by a film screening that commemorated the union’s centenary.

Aside from touring the VG Gopal Heritage and Michael John Auditorium, the delegation also inspected the union officials’ room and library.

Insights on how the Tata Workers Union collaborates with Tata Steel, especially in leadership development, were elaborated upon.

Area Manager Corporate Relations Bahalan Champia, and Head of Urban Services Jiren Xavier Topno were present during this exploratory visit.

The Tata delegation left notably impressed with the functions and contributions of the union.
