JAMSHEDPUR – A protest over local hiring demands disrupted operations at Tata Motors, blocking workers from entering and exiting the plant.

Chaos erupted at Tata Motors on Tuesday after a group blocked the main gate. The protest was led by the Bunti Singh faction.

Meanwhile, the blockade stopped B shift workers from entering the facility. A shift workers also could not exit after completing duties.

However, tensions increased as employees remained stuck inside the premises. The situation affected normal industrial operations significantly.

Moreover, police forces were deployed in large numbers at the site. Authorities monitored the situation but avoided immediate forceful action.

On the other hand, protesters accused management of ignoring local employment rights. They also alleged collusion between union leaders and company officials.

Furthermore, the group claimed local youths were denied job opportunities repeatedly. They said even employees’ children were excluded from recruitment.

In contrast, the protest leaders warned of continued agitation if demands remain unmet. They insisted hiring local candidates must become a priority.

Meanwhile, industrial unrest over employment has surfaced earlier in Jamshedpur’s major plants. Such protests often disrupt production and worker movement.

Moreover, the situation remained tense as negotiations had not begun. Police continued deployment to prevent escalation.
