GIRIDIH – Financial distress and repeated loan repayment demands allegedly pushed a Gandey villager toward suicide in Rasanjori village.

Meanwhile, the deceased was identified as 45-year-old Meetan Das. The incident shocked local residents.

Moreover, officials said the victim carried four separate group loans. Family members described prolonged financial difficulties.

Furthermore, relatives claimed repeated installment demands caused severe mental pressure. The victim reportedly remained distressed for months.

In addition, villagers said loan repayments became increasingly difficult recently. Economic hardship reportedly worsened household conditions.

However, Meetan Das allegedly ended his life by hanging himself. The incident triggered mourning across the village.

Meanwhile, Ahilyapur police reached the location after receiving information. Officers later recovered the body.

Moreover, authorities sent the body for postmortem examination. The examination was scheduled at Giridih Sadar Hospital.
