CHANDIL – A deer entered a roadside hotel compound near NH-33 in Chandil, causing brief panic before safely moving toward a nearby village.
Meanwhile, the animal entered Hotel Van Palasi in Hamsada suddenly. People and staff became startled after spotting the deer.
Moreover, witnesses said the deer stayed briefly inside the compound. Later, the animal moved outside and crossed the highway safely.
However, people remained worried during the highway crossing. Fast-moving vehicles created fears of an accident nearby.
Subsequently, the deer crossed NH-33 without injuries. Later, it headed toward the nearby village area.
In addition, the hotel operator informed the forest department immediately. Officials later started monitoring the situation closely.
Furthermore, hotel owner Budheshwar Mardy recalled similar sightings decades earlier. He said such scenes appeared rarely near residential areas before.
Besides, he noted increasing wildlife movement near villages recently. He considered the development encouraging for forest conservation efforts.
Meanwhile, Mardy praised forest officials for wildlife protection measures. He also urged stronger monitoring near populated regions.
Additionally, he said fewer hunting incidents occurred during Vishu Shikar recently. He linked the reduced hunting with growing wildlife sightings.
