Unidentified miscreants broke into an SBI ATM in Ramgarh’s Bazar Tand area, stealing Rs 1.31 lakh after disabling security cameras.

RANCHI – In a brazen heist, thieves used a gas cutter to break into a State Bank of India ATM in Ramgarh’s Bazar Tand, making off with Rs 1.31 lakh.

The crime occurred in a bustling area of Ramgarh city, known for its constant activity.

Early morning, the ATM’s landlord discovered the extensively damaged machine with its cash box left open.

Ramgarh police were promptly informed and quickly arrived at the scene to begin their investigation.

The thieves displayed meticulous planning, first disabling the external camera before damaging the internal one.

Using a gas cutter, the criminals melted and pried open the ATM’s locker, absconding with the entire cash contents.

Authorities believe the perpetrators conducted a thorough reconnaissance of the area prior to executing the robbery.

The incident’s location, characterized by continuous movement of people and vehicles, has left locals shocked.

Law enforcement is now reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras and employing advanced technology in their pursuit of the culprits.

The audacious nature of the crime has prompted a thorough investigation by the Ramgarh police.
