2 arrested for bike lifting from South Park, Bistupur area

Jamshedpur: The city police on Thursday arrested two bike lifters and sent them to judicial custody. They were nabbed during an anti-crime checking drive.

According to police sources, the Bistupur police were carrying out an anti-crime checking drive. During the checking, the police arrested two persons, S Mahanand and H Mandal, from near South Park in Bistupur. They were arrested in connection with a case relating to theft of bike and then re-purposing it.

The CCRD SP Arvind Kumar said that one bike was stolen from Telco police station area, while information is being collected about another bike.

Both the arrested youths live in South Park area.
