SSP assures probe into all aspects and strict action against guilty
Jamshedpur: A woman from Golmuri has accused her husband of marrying her by deception and cheating and committing atrocities on her. On Saturday, she met the SSP and requested him to intervene in the matter to ensure justice to her.
The SSP, Dr. M Tamil Vanan, said that police would examine all aspects of the case and if the allegations of the woman are true then it amounts of a serious crime against her and strict action would be taken against the guilty.
The woman alleged that she was married on January 29, 2019 last and after marriage she went to her in-laws’ house in Baridih and then to Hyderabad where her husband lives, she came to know that he was already married with a woman and was living with her. The woman was a divorcee and her husband has kept her in a rented flat.
She said that as soon as she learnt about it and her husband also learnt that she has learnt about it, her in-laws started pressurising her to bring more money as dowry.
She said that despite bringing dowry money, she was being asked to live like a ‘concubine’.
The woman said that she had to undergo a lot of difficulties during lockdown period in Hyderabad as she was left alone.
On July 22, 2020 she reached her parents’ house in Tuiladungri and told everyone about the reality of her husband. Everyone was shocked knowing the real facts.
On Saturday, she met the SSP and told him everything.
The SSP Dr. M Tamil Vanan has assured her of probing the matter and taking necessary action.
The woman alleged that her in-laws and all members of the in-laws’ family were a part of of the conspiracy.
