Jamshedpur: JD (U) state president Salkhan Murmu has announced a one-day dharna and public awareness programme Hul in five states to protest the killing of Rameshwar Murmu on June 12 last.
Rameshwar Murmu was a descendant of Sidho Kanhu, Chand Bhaiarav and Full Jhano.
Mr Salkhan Murmu sat on a one-day dharna at his Kadma residence and decried the state government led by Hemant Soren for not ensuring safety of common man.
He said that a descendant of a martyr family has been killed brutally in the constituency of the chief minister Hemant Soren himself. Despite this, the JMM leaders did not find it fit to meet the family members of the deceased.
Mr. Murmu demanded that the murder be probed by CBI and the killers be punished suitably as soon as possible.
