JAMSHEDPUR — A new luxury bus service connecting Jamshedpur to Varanasi was launched on Thursday from the Mango Bus Stand, offering passengers a more comfortable travel option on the route.

Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy inaugurated the Rekha Luxury Bus Service by cutting the ribbon at the Mango Bus Stand.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said the new service would provide better and more comfortable facilities to passengers travelling between Jamshedpur and Varanasi.

He added that the bus had been equipped with modern amenities keeping passenger convenience in mind.

The bus offers Wi-Fi connectivity, comfortable seating, and an onboard toilet.

Bus service owner Anurag was present at the launch along with several others from the Mango Bus Stand.

Passengers and local residents expressed happiness over the launch of the new long-distance travel service.

The Jamshedpur-Varanasi route is significant, as a large number of city residents travel to the religious city in Uttar Pradesh.

Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world, is a major pilgrimage destination on the banks of the Ganga.

Roy has been active on civic and transport issues in Jamshedpur, having recently led protests over train delays in the Chakradharpur division.

He had also spoken on civic matters on Ambedkar Jayanti earlier this month.
