CHANDIL – A youth’s body was recovered near a roadside in Kapali on Friday morning, triggering panic across the area.

Police recovered the body near the Dobo brick kiln under Kapali OP limits. The discovery created tension among residents early Friday morning.

Meanwhile, locals informed police after spotting the body beside the road. Officers reached the area soon after receiving information.

Police started an investigation at the scene immediately. The body was later prepared for postmortem examination.

However, investigators found several sharp weapon injury marks on the victim’s body. Police suspect the youth was murdered brutally before disposal.

Moreover, officers believe the killing happened at another location. The body was allegedly dumped later in the isolated stretch.

The victim’s identity remains unknown till Friday evening. Police contacted nearby stations for missing person information.

Meanwhile, local residents were questioned regarding possible identification details. Officers also gathered information from people near the crime scene.

In contrast, fear spread among residents after the recovery. Locals demanded strict action against increasing criminal activities.

Police sources confirmed that every angle is under investigation. CCTV cameras installed nearby are also being examined carefully.

Moreover, investigators expect important leads from surveillance footage soon. Police claimed the case could be solved quickly.

The incident occurred near Chandil in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The case has raised concerns over rising Murder incidents in isolated areas.
