JAMSHEDPUR – A minor girl’s body was recovered from a government school campus in Parsudih, triggering panic and protests among residents.

The incident surfaced in the Sopodera area of Jamshedpur on Saturday morning. Local residents noticed the body inside the school premises.

Meanwhile, villagers immediately informed police about the discovery. Officers from Parsudih police station soon reached the location.

Police later secured the area and started an investigation. Moreover, forensic evidence collection began inside the school campus.

Local residents alleged sexual assault before the killing occurred. However, police refused immediate confirmation without medical findings.

Officials said the post-mortem report would determine exact circumstances. Meanwhile, investigators questioned nearby residents and school staff members.

Police also started examining nearby CCTV camera footage. Moreover, surrounding areas were searched for possible evidence.

A large crowd gathered outside the school after the recovery. Residents demanded immediate arrests and strict punishment for those responsible.
