JAMSHEDPUR – Surya Muramalla, a resident of Burmamines, Jamshedpur, passed away during treatment at RIMS Ranchi on Saturday morning around 5 AM.
Surya had fallen seriously ill during the recruitment process and was admitted to RIMS two days ago.
His death adds to the growing concern, as 14 candidates have now died during the excise constable recruitment run.
Following these incidents, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand had temporarily halted the recruitment run, which resumed on September 10.
The situation has drawn attention to the physical demands of the recruitment process and the health risks involved.
Surya’s passing has highlighted the ongoing risks faced by candidates in such demanding physical evaluations.
