JAMSHEDPUR – JMT Auto workers continued their agitation in Adityapur after alleging intimidation, assault and forced removal of their protest infrastructure.

The peaceful protest by JMT Auto Private Limited workers continued Wednesday. The agitation entered its ninth consecutive day in Adityapur. Workers demanded adjustment in RKFL and final settlement benefits.

However, workers alleged fresh trouble erupted early Wednesday morning. They claimed the incident occurred around 5:45 am. According to protesters, RKFL officials reached the protest location suddenly.

Moreover, workers accused official Shaktipad Senapati of leading the action. They alleged several anti-social elements accompanied the officials. Protesters claimed the group damaged the protest tent forcefully.

Meanwhile, workers stated they possessed written permission from the Forest Department. They said the protest site had official approval earlier. However, they alleged mobile phones were snatched during the confrontation.

In addition, some workers allegedly faced physical assault at the location. Protesters claimed tent materials were removed forcibly afterward. They alleged the materials were later sent as scrap.

The workers maintained their agitation remained completely peaceful throughout. However, they accused management of continuously provoking demonstrators. Protesters alleged repeated attempts weakened the ongoing movement.

Moreover, workers claimed pressure tactics were regularly being used. They mentioned administrative pressure and alleged intimidation attempts. Protesters also accused authorities of disrupting the protest venue repeatedly.

The agitating workers said their movement would continue peacefully. They demanded positive action regarding adjustment and final settlement issues. However, RKFL management did not issue any response publicly.

Earlier, Jharkhand Labour and Skill Development Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav spoke with workers. He reportedly assured fair treatment during a telephonic discussion. Meanwhile, protesting workers planned visiting Ranchi on Friday.

The workers said they would meet the minister personally there. They planned explaining their grievances before the minister directly. However, protesters again accused management of suppressing their agitation.

Meanwhile, workers also questioned official silence over the controversy. They alleged the Labour Department remained inactive throughout developments. Protesters further claimed district administration avoided intervention in the dispute.

In addition, labour unions were also accused of remaining silent. The agitation continued near the industrial region of Jamshedpur. Adityapur remains among Jharkhand’s major industrial hubs.
