High-Speed Crash Claims Two Lives in Palamu, Two Seriously Injured

MEDININAGAR – A tragic accident on the Chhatarpur-Japla road near Khendra village claimed the lives of two youths and left two others critically injured on Tuesday. The collision occurred when two bikes traveling at high speed crashed head-on.

Shariful Ansari, 19, of Mandeya, and Dheeraj Kumar alias Anees, also 19, from Khendra Khurd, died instantly. Mubarak Ansari, 19, of Alipur Tola, and Chhotu Kumar Bhuiyan, 15, sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Chhatarpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. After initial treatment, the injured were referred to MMCH Medininagar for advanced care.

Incident Details and Eyewitness Accounts

The victims were returning from a Makar Sankranti fair held at Tui Pahadi near Pahadi village. According to eyewitnesses, both bikes were traveling at high speeds. The collision was so severe that the bikes were left mangled.

Locals alerted the police, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajiv Kumar arrived at the scene. Authorities seized the damaged vehicles and initiated further investigations.

Police Action and Community Response

Police have sent the deceased’s bodies for postmortem at Medininagar and are investigating the circumstances of the accident. The tragic loss of young lives has cast a shadow of grief over the community.
