JAMSHEDPUR – On Thursday, NDA candidates in Jamshedpur filed their nominations, with a rally held at Sakchi Bodhi Maidan, attended by Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is also the BJP’s co-in-charge for Jharkhand.

Addressing the media, Sarma expressed confidence in the victory of all NDA candidates from their respective constituencies. He mentioned that the situation during the last Assembly elections was different, but this time, the circumstances are more favorable for the NDA.

Sarma also responded to allegations of nepotism against the BJP, pointing out that when Champai Soren left JMM to join BJP, the responsibility of Sarai Kela and Ghatsila seats was handed to him. He stated that decisions regarding candidates from JMM were left to them.

Sarma highlighted Purnima Das Sahu, the BJP candidate from Jamshedpur East, calling her a young and capable leader. He emphasized that Sahu, a former journalist, has been actively involved in social work for many years, which reflects her maturity and dedication. Sarma added, "NDA candidates will perform strongly across all Kolhan seats and secure victories."

NDA’s Jamshedpur Rally and Candidates

The nomination process for NDA candidates saw a significant turnout in Jamshedpur, with senior BJP leaders including Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma addressing the supporters. Sarma emphasized that NDA’s candidates have a stronger position compared to the previous elections, which he believes will lead to a better outcome.

Sarma also tackled the ongoing nepotism accusations aimed at the BJP. He clarified that the allocation of seats, especially in areas like Sarai Kela and Ghatsila, was handed to Champai Soren when he shifted from JMM to BJP. "It was a decision left entirely to those who joined from JMM," he stated, defending the party’s candidate selections.

Focus on Jamshedpur East

Particular attention was given to Jamshedpur East, where BJP has fielded Purnima Das Sahu. Sarma praised Sahu, labeling her a "young and brilliant candidate," and emphasized her previous work as a journalist and her extensive involvement in social services over the past few years. According to him, this experience makes her an ideal candidate for the seat.

As the rally concluded, Sarma reiterated that NDA candidates in Kolhan will ensure strong performances in the upcoming elections. He stated, "The NDA’s candidates will deliver their best to guarantee their success."
