JAMSHEDPUR – JDU’s influence in Jamshedpur grows as Youth Congress members switch allegiance, strengthening the party’s position ahead of elections.

Jamshedpur witnessed a significant political shift on Monday. Several Youth Congress members officially joined the Janata Dal United (JDU) party.

The membership drive took place at MLA Saryu Roy’s office-cum-residence. Roy personally welcomed the new members to the party fold.

Munna Singh oversaw the campaign, highlighting JDU’s growing influence in the region. Notable among those who switched allegiance was Bhawani Singh, the Youth Congress Jamshedpur West Assembly President.

Moreover, other prominent members who joined included Babu Khan, Bijoy Dey, and Sameer. Additionally, Md. Shamshad, Arman Khan, and Sujay Soren also made the switch.

Furthermore, Ajay Mardi and Rahul Soren were among the new JDU members. The influx of members continued throughout the day.

Earlier, individuals like Ganesh Machhua and Mithun Deep had also joined the party. Rajiv Kumar, Sumit Rao, and Vinod Pandey followed suit.

A local political analyst commented, "This mass shift could significantly impact the political landscape of Jamshedpur."

In contrast, the Youth Congress has yet to release an official statement regarding these defections. However, the move signals a potential strengthening of JDU’s position in the region.

On the other hand, the upcoming elections may see a reshuffling of political alliances. The JDU’s expanding base could play a crucial role in future political developments.
