District Election Officer Holds Meeting with Senior Officials Ahead of 2024 Polls

JAMSHEDPUR – In preparation for the upcoming 2024 Assembly elections, District Election Officer Ananya Mittal convened a meeting with senior and assistant officials from all election departments to discuss work plans and strategies.

Mittal emphasized the importance of following the Election Commission’s guidelines and ensuring transparency and impartiality throughout the election process.

By October 8, senior officials of each department must conduct meetings and submit updated reports on their election readiness.

The meeting covered various operational units, including personnel, EVM, expenditure accounting, ballot papers, transportation, training, and media monitoring.

Mittal issued strict directives to ensure flawless execution, warning that no negligence would be tolerated.

The SWEEP wing was specifically instructed to intensify voter awareness programs, aiming to ensure every voter exercises their right.

He also discussed the preparation of error-free personnel lists, timely training, and the provision of necessary equipment at dispatch centers.

Vehicles and election materials must be available in adequate numbers, and a close watch should be kept on social media for any violations.

Among those present were Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Election Officer, and other district officials.
