JAMSHEDPUR – Late Wednesday night, a severe road accident occurred near Motel Madhuban on the Tata-Kandra main road, leaving the driver of an LPT truck badly injured.
The accident happened when the LPT truck collided with a stationary 10-wheeler truck that had broken down on the main road.
The impact was so severe that the LPT driver was trapped inside the cabin of his vehicle for nearly 30 minutes.
Despite being informed, the road construction company JRDC’s ambulance did not arrive at the scene.
Police, with the help of local residents, managed to extricate the driver from the mangled cabin and transported him to the hospital in a police vehicle.
The Tata-Kandra road has become notorious for accidents, particularly at night due to poor lighting.
The presence of heavy vehicles parked along both sides of the road has exacerbated the danger, leading to frequent and sometimes fatal accidents.
