VP Chanakya Chaudhary emphasizes unity, progress in flag-hoisting address

Tata Steel marked India’s 78th Independence Day with a focus on national development and corporate commitment.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel commemorated India’s 78th Independence Day at its Jamshedpur Works, with Vice President of Corporate Services Chanakya Chaudhary hoisting the national flag.

Chaudhary’s address centered on the theme of unity in diversity, highlighting India’s entry into the ‘Amrit Kaal’ period.

He pledged Tata Steel’s continued support for national development across various sectors, including industry and infrastructure.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, citing its century-long dedication to self-reliance.

Chaudhary discussed ongoing expansions, including the Kalinganagar Phase II project and a new low-carbon electric arc furnace plant in Ludhiana.

He addressed global steel market challenges while highlighting the relative stability of domestic prices.

The VP emphasized Tata Steel’s focus on digital transformation and sustainability, including investments in AI and environmental conservation efforts.

A "Billion Impressions" sculpture was unveiled, symbolizing the company’s commitment to shaping India’s future.

Tata Steel’s ongoing trials for hydrogen gas injection in a Jamshedpur blast furnace were mentioned as part of its decarbonization efforts.

Chaudhary concluded by reaffirming Tata Steel’s role in developing Eastern India, particularly Jharkhand and Odisha.
