The Indian government has approved eight new railway projects, including two worth ₹4,656 crore for the Chakradharpur Rail Division, which involve the construction of new railway lines from Badampahar to Keonjhargarh and from Bangriposi to Gurumasani.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Chakradharpur Rail Division has been allocated ₹4,656 crore for two new railway projects as part of eight approved by the Indian government in the latest Cabinet meeting.
These projects include an 82.06 km new railway line from Badampahar to Keonjhargarh and an 85.60 km line from Bangriposi to Gurumasani.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared the details during a video conference with officials from the concerned rail divisions, including senior officials from the Chakradharpur division.
The projects are expected to boost connectivity and infrastructure in the region, providing significant economic and developmental benefits.
Senior DCM Aditya Kumar Choudhary from Chakradharpur Rail Division was among the officials who participated in the discussion.
These projects mark a significant investment in the region’s railway infrastructure, highlighting the government’s commitment to enhancing connectivity in underserved areas.
