Traffic Woes on Mango Bridge Prompt Chamber’s Appeal

Business group urges officials to tackle daily congestion, proposes solutions

Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry appeals to local officials to address severe traffic jams on Mango Bridge.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry has formally requested that East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal and SSP Kishore Kaushal address the persistent traffic congestion on Mango Bridge.

The daily bridge congestion in Mango is exacerbated by the dense population and numerous establishments, as emphasized by Chamber President Vijay Anand Moonka.

Workers, pupils, patients, and other commuters are adversely affected by the traffic congestion.

The congestion poses particular challenges for the elderly, ill, school children, and pregnant women.

In critical situations, delays have the potential to jeopardize the lives of emergency patients as they travel to hospitals.

In order to prevent road obstruction, the Chamber suggested that buses be confined to designated stands.

In order to assess its efficacy, it was proposed that heavy vehicles adhere to a temporary prohibition from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. for a week.

It was suggested that experienced traffic officers be deployed at both Mango Bridge roundabouts.

These proposed measures to alleviate traffic congestion are endorsed by Vice President Anil Modi and other office holders.

The Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police were both exhorted to take prompt action by the business group.

The high traffic volume at Mango is a result of its proximity to critical areas such as Sakchi, Bistupur, and Adityapur.

The Chamber is of the opinion that the implementation of these solutions will significantly alleviate the congestion issues.
