JAMSHEDPUR – An eyewitness provided key testimony in the Sonu murder case, identifying the accused via an online video link.
In the court of ADJ-6 Namita Chandra on Thursday, Mohammad Imran, an eyewitness, testified in the murder case of Shahnavaz alias Sonu.
The accused, Bablu Singh, connected from Sakchi Jail to the Jamshedpur court via a mobile link.
During the testimony, Imran identified Bablu Singh as the perpetrator.
The victim, Shahnavaz, was shot on February 20, 2023, while grazing goats in the Tatanagar Central School field.
He was rushed to TMH with the help of locals, but succumbed to his injuries after four days of treatment.
Advocate Zahid Iqbal represented the informant in court.
The testimony marks a significant development in the ongoing trial.
The court is expected to continue hearing further witnesses in the coming days.
