Train Service Changes in Jamshedpur Due to Railway Upgrades

Several train services in Jamshedpur affected by railway projects starting mid-April.

Several train services in Jamshedpur will be altered mid-April due to developmental projects in the South East Central Railway network.

JAMSHEDPUR – Several train services in Jamshedpur will be altered mid-April due to developmental projects in the South East Central Railway network.

The alterations include the cancellation of both directions of the Tatanagar-NSCB Itwari Express and the Howrah-CSMT Gitanjali Express.

Additionally, on April 15 and 16, the Jharsuguda-Gondia Special will terminate early at Bilaspur, and the return trip will commence from there.

Cancellation of Trains:

  1. 18109 Tatanagar-NSCB Itwari Express: Cancelled on April 14, 2024.

  2. 18110 NSCB Itwari-Tatanagar Express: Cancelled on April 16, 2024.

  3. 12860 Howrah-CSMT(Mumbai) Gitanjali Express: Cancelled on April 14, 2024.

  4. 12859 CSMT(Mumbai)-Howrah Gitanjali Express: Cancelled on April 16, 2024.

Short Termination/Short Origination of Trains:

  1. 08862 Jharsuguda-Gondia Special: Journeys commencing on April 15 and 16, 2024, will be short terminated at Bilaspur.

  2. 08861 Gondia-Jharsuguda Special: Journeys commencing on April 15 and 16, 2024, will be short originated from Bilaspur.

Rail sources said that these changes are necessary for infrastructure enhancements and are expected to affect many travelers’ plans.

These service regulations are planned to accommodate ongoing infrastructure upgrades within the railway network.
