Demands for Electrical Installations Raised; Urgent Need for Poles and Transformer Upgrades in Localities

Zilla Parishad member Smt. Purnima Mallik leads delegation to discuss electricity problems in the area, highlighting the urgent need for electrical installations, transformer upgrades, and safety measures.

JAMSHEDPUR – Today, under the leadership of Zilla Parishad member Smt. Purnima Mallik, a meeting was held with the Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department to discuss longstanding demands regarding electricity problems in various localities.

Among the chief demands were the installation of 10 electric poles in Bhata Basti and

electric poles to be installed near Rao Colony, Patra Basti, and Banerjee Wood Tall.

The demands also included a need for electric poles in Tilakgarh, Lohar Basti, Gobra Tola, and Munda Basti and highlighted the requirement for 10 electric poles in Dukhu Tola.

The memorandum said there is a need for replacement of a 100 kb transformer with a 200 kb transformer in Swarnakar Basti and also there is a necessity to put a mesh in the high tension wire in Jharkhand Basti, which poses a significant risk of a future accident.

The concerns were expressed with a sense of urgency, as the main issues have been previously communicated but with little visible progress on the ground.

The delegation included prominent community members such as Seva NGO President Manik Mallik, Milan Majumdar, Raja Sharma, Somnath Mandal, Mujeeb, Ashish, and others.

Purnima Mallick said that the residents want tangible improvements in the electrical infrastructure and safety measures in the region.

She said hat the actions taken by the Electricity Department in response to these demands will be closely monitored by the residents.
