Indian Railways Announces Train Cancellations and Diversions for Infrastructure Upgrades

Adjustments in Train Schedules from June 3 to June 9, 2024, to Facilitate Developmental Works

Indian Railways has announced multiple train cancellations, short terminations, short originations, and diversions to support essential infrastructure enhancements in the Kharagpur Division.

JAMSHEDPUR – As a result of the ongoing developmental activities in the Kharagpur Division, Indian Railways has made several adjustments to train schedules, including cancellations, short terminations, short originations, and diversions.

During the period of June 3 to June 9, 2024, these adjustments have been made to improve the infrastructure and make sure that the rail network is safe and efficient.

The following trains will be cancelled:

18023/18024 Kharagpur-NSCB Gomoh-Kharagpur Express from June 4 to June 6, 2024.

12885/12886 Shalimar-Bhojudih-Shalimar Express from June 4 to June 6, 2024.

22330/22329 Asansol-Haldia-Asansol Express on June 5 and June 6, 2024.

08685/08686 Kharagpur-Adra-Kharagpur MEMU on June 5, 2024.

Several trains will face short termination at Kharagpur:

Howrah-Midnapore EMU Locals, specifically trains 38807, 38809, 38811, 38813, 38815, 38817, 38823, 38825, 38829, 38831, will be terminated at Kharagpur from June 4 to June 9, 2024, with some date-specific variations.

Another train will be short terminated at Godapiasal:

08680 Adra-Midnapore MEMU Special, which will terminate at Godapiasal from June 3 to June 7, 2024.

Short origination will also occur:

Midnapore-Howrah EMU Locals, including trains 38814, 38816, 38818, 38820, 38822, 38824, 38830, 38802, and 38804, will originate from Kharagpur instead of Midnapore from June 4 to June 9, 2024, with some date-specific variations.

Another train will have a short origin:

08680 Midnapore-Adra MEMU Special will originate from Godapiasal instead of Midnapore from June 3 to June 7, 2024.

Two train diversions are planned:

18627 Howrah-Ranchi Express, on June 4, 2024, will be diverted via Tatanagar-Purulia-Kotshila.

22611 MGR Chennai-New Jalpaiguri Express, on June 5, 2024, will be diverted via Tatanagar-Asansol.

These changes have been implemented by Indian Railways to accommodate critical development work in the Kharagpur Division.

Passengers are advised to stay updated with the latest schedules and plan their travel accordingly.
