DBMS Kadma High School Hosts English Elocution Competition for 2024
DBMS Kadma High School held its annual English Elocution competition on August 30, 2024, in Kalakriti auditorium with enthusiastic student participation.
The 2024 English Elocution competition at DBMS Kadma High School, held on August 30 in the Kalakriti auditorium, saw a large turnout of students eager to showcase their oratory skills.
JAMSHEDPUR – DBMS Kadma High School hosted its annual English Elocution competition on August 30, 2024, in the Kalakriti auditorium.
The event aims to help students overcome stage fright and improve public speaking skills, connecting them with the audience through effective delivery and voice modulation.
Judges included experienced educationists Ms. Taniya Das, Ms. Sujata Mukherjee, and Ms. Jasmit Kaur Rekhi, who evaluated various levels of competition from Nursery to Class XII.
The competition featured diverse activities such as choral recitation, poem recitation, storytelling, interviews, and Ted Talks.
This year’s theme was “ANVAYA-POSITIVITY.”
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Principal Ms. Gurpreet Bhambra, Secretary Ms. Anita Ramkrishna, Treasurer Ms. Bhuvana Krishnan, Vice Principals Ms. Suparna Roy and Ms. S. Shireen, as well as teachers and coordinators.
Under the guidance of Ms. Suparna Roy, the event was deemed a success, with judges applauding the high level of competition and the hard work of the students.
Winners and Categories
In the Choral Recitation category, winners were from Nursery-B, LKG-A, Std. I-C, and Std. IV-B.
For Individual Recitation in Classes V & VI, Priyashi Ghosh took first place, followed by Asmita Chakraborty and Devank Satpathy.
In Classes VII & VIII’s Storytelling category, Shreya Raj Jha won first place, with Almash Qaiser and Mayank Tripathi coming in second and third, respectively.
Class IX & X’s Interview category saw Areeb Shahid Khan and Subhasni Singh in first place, followed by Ebra Ariz & Ayush Sharma and Sreeja & Subhashree.
For the Ted Talk category in Classes XI & XII, Nakshatri Sharma secured first place, while Arshita Dubey and Sumbdha Pattanik took second and third places.
