Carmel High School’s Komal Sah Overcomes Challenges to Shine in JAC Exams

Komal Sah of Carmel High School, Chakradharpur, has emerged as the Kolhan and district topper in the Jharkhand Academic Council 10th Board exams with a commendable 97.2 percent, overcoming significant financial challenges to maintain her academic trajectory towards an engineering career.

CHAKRADHARPUR – Despite financial hardships, Komal Sah clinched the top spot in Kolhan district in the recent JAC 10th Board exams, aspiring to further her education in engineering.

Komal achieved an outstanding 486 marks, lighting up not just her family but also the teaching staff at Carmel High School.

Her academic journey, initially marred by struggles in lower classes, saw a significant turnaround through persistent encouragement from her teachers and family.

Komal’s remarkable performance has been a source of pride for her alma mater, which boasted a 100% pass rate this year.

The success stories at Carmel High School this year also included students like Arun Samvaiya, Munna Jamuda, and Pushpa Soy, all of whom displayed excellent academic results.

Supporting Educational Dreams

Komal’s father, Vinod Sah, has publicly sought government aid to support his daughter’s educational ambitions, highlighting the family’s financial strain exacerbated by medical expenses for another family member.

"Despite the challenges, our goal remains to support Komal’s aspirations for higher education. We hope for some support to ease our financial burden," Vinod Sah shared.

Under the guidance of Principal Sister Jagrani, the school has consistently fostered academic excellence, a commitment that has translated into remarkable student achievements.

Sister Jagrani emphasized the growing success of female students at the school, indicating a significant shift towards gender parity in academic achievements.
