CM Hemant Soren Promises Swift Action On Long-Demanded Initiative
Government plans comprehensive database to assess mining impacts and develop mitigation policies.
RANCHI – Following a recent cabinet clearance, the Jharkhand government announced plans to establish a Rehabilitation Commission.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said, "This commission will address concerns related to mining activities and their impact on the community."
The project intends to build a database that lists mining regions and calculates the losses incurred by the local populace.
Soren promised, "We’ll develop policies to mitigate problems in mining-affected areas," while he was aware of previous setbacks.
Assistant police officers who were protesting were advised to communicate with the administration by the CM.
Soren demanded that all public interest initiatives and earlier policy declarations be reviewed.
"Ministers should gather information about departmental issues and work on solutions," he said.
The administration used the ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ campaign to highlight its dedication to decentralized governance.
To increase accessibility, plans call for operating from villages as opposed to only the Project Bhawan.
This action indicates initiatives to improve governance and solve concerns of displacement in areas affected by mining.
