ABS Jamshedpur Hosts Innovative Play Contest for Young Thespians
Local students breathe new life into classic works with humorous adaptations.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Association of British Scholars (ABS) Jamshedpur Chapter recently organized "Shakespeare with a Twist," a unique short play competition aimed at fostering appreciation for the Bard’s works among schoolchildren.
Twenty-two schools from Jamshedpur participated in the event, showcasing creative reinterpretations of Shakespearean classics.
Shantanu Chakraborty, Vice President of ABS Jamshedpur Chapter, opened the competition with a warm welcome address.
"This competition encourages students to engage with Shakespeare’s timeless works in innovative ways," Chakraborty remarked.
Little Flower School, Telco, clinched the first prize for their inventive performance.
Tarapore School, Agrico, and Kerala Samajam Model School, Golmuri, secured the second and third positions respectively.
Tamanna Bose from DBMS was awarded Best Actor for her outstanding performance.
Karthik from Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalay impressed judges with the Best Costume.
Loyola School received recognition for the Best Twist in their Shakespearean adaptation.
The event highlighted the creative potential of Jamshedpur’s young thespians in reimagining classic literature.
ABS Jamshedpur Chapter expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm and talent displayed by all participating schools.
