Himalaya Steel Mill Services Collaborates with Red Cross Society for Blood Donation Camp

Vinod Kumar Singh Commends Red Cross for Social Responsibility Initiatives

Himalaya Steel Mill Services, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, organized a blood donation camp at Red Cross Bhawan in Sakchi, Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Himalaya Steel Mill Services, a subsidiary of Tata Steel, partnered with the Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, to host a blood donation camp at Red Cross Bhawan in Sakchi.

The event saw active participation from employees and community members, emphasizing the importance of social responsibility and humanitarian service.

Vinod Kumar Singh, local head of Himalaya Steel Mill Services, highlighted the satisfaction derived from working with the Red Cross Society.

He emphasized the significance of blood donation and other social initiatives in serving humanity.

Singh himself donated blood and encouraged others to contribute.

Senior company officer Vinay Kumar expressed gratitude towards the blood donors, noting the increased need for blood during this season.

"The timely donation by our blood donors ensures that those in need receive blood on time," Kumar stated.

Honorary Secretary of Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, Vijay Kumar Singh, welcomed the guests and appreciated the efforts of all participants.

Active Red Cross member, Purbi Ghosh, spoke on the importance of blood donation and how it helps eradicate discrimination.

Sureshwar Singh, an official from Himalaya Steel, praised the Red Cross’s blood donation campaigns, especially during summer.

Prabhunath Singh, Red Cross SDP donation in-charge, gave the vote of thanks, while the program was conducted by Deputy Secretary Shyam Kumar Prasad.

Interns Unnati Rai, Priyam Agarwal, Ragini, and Rishit played crucial roles in ensuring the event’s success.

The camp saw 105 donors fulfilling their pledge to serve humanity by donating blood in the scorching heat.

Senior Red Cross member BNP Gupta, Vice Patron D.K. Ghosh, and other active members like Deepak Mitra, Saraswati Sarkar, and Geeta Singh, among others, boosted the morale of the donors.

The Jamshedpur Blood Center team efficiently handled blood collection.

In a related effort, Tata Steel employee Chandan Kumar donated SDP for the sixth time, inspired by Prabhunath Singh.

Vijay Kumar Singh expressed gratitude to all the donors and contributors.

The blood donation camp was organized under the auspices of Red Cross Society’s 195th Safety First Aid Disaster Management Training Batch.
