Jewellery Traders and Police Discuss Enhanced Security Measures
SSP Kishore Kaushal and Other Officials Engage with Traders on Safety Concerns
Police officials and jewellery traders held a detailed discussion at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to enhance security measures.
JAMSHEDPUR – To improve security for jewellery traders, a meeting was held at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), where top police officials engaged with local traders to address their concerns.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal, IPS, along with Rural Superintendent of Police (RSP) Rishabh Garg, IPS, discussed various security strategies with the jewellers.
Participating in the discussion were DSP CCR Anjani Tiwari, DSP City Sudhir Kumar, DSP Headquarters-2 Niranjan Tiwari, DSP Law and Order Tauqeer Alam, DSP Patmda Bachchandev Kujur, and Sonari Police Station In-charge Saryu Anand.
In his opening remarks, SCCI Chairman Vijay Anand Moonka praised the police for their swift capture of the criminals involved in the recent Sonari jewellery shop robbery on May 25th.
Moonka highlighted the need for ongoing enhancements in law enforcement and traffic management, including increased police presence at key locations, night patrols, and the removal of anti-social elements near jewellery shops.
SSP Kishore Kaushal reassured the traders of the police’s dedication to maintaining robust security throughout the city.
He emphasized the importance of installing high-quality CCTV cameras in shops to prevent and solve crimes.
"The traders of Jamshedpur are integral to the city’s growth, and the police are committed to ensuring their safety," he stated.
During the event, the police team responsible for solving the Sonari MB Jewellers robbery case was honored.
Honorees included Sonari police station in-charge Saryu Anand and team members Amit Kumar Choudhary, Diwakar Dhobi, Santosh Kumar, Ravikant Mishra, Asif Iqbal, Sunil Kumar, Manoj Kumar Paswan, Mukesh Kumar, and other diligent officers.
Manoj Adesara of the Jewellers Association shared various security suggestions from the traders, stressing the need for improved protective measures.
