Muharram Preparations: Peace Committee Meeting Held in Azad Nagar Jamshedpur

A Peace Committee meeting was held in Azad Nagar, Jamshedpur to discuss Muharram festival arrangements and address local concerns, ensuring a peaceful event.

JAMSHEDPUR – A Peace Committee meeting was held today in Azad Nagar, Jamshedpur, to discuss the upcoming Muharram festival.

Senior officers of the district administration and all members of the Akhara Committee were in attendance.

The meeting focused on the provision of basic facilities during the festival.

Members of the Akhara Committee highlighted problems like electricity, water, and cleanliness to the government officials present.

They also appealed to the top police officers to take strict action against those who consume drugs and cause disruption in the area.

Chairman of the Peace Committee, Mukhtar Alam, informed that this year the Muharram procession will be carried out peacefully.

He stated that all the akharas will perform their ‘kartab’ near their Imambara, and no akhara will come out in the form of a procession.
