Community Support Highlights Commitment to Animal Welfare

The Jharkhand Animal Welfare Society (JAWS) has taken the initiative to care for a severely injured cow near TR Type Masjid Road in Bistupur, showcasing the community’s commitment to animal welfare.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand Animal Welfare Society (JAWS) has shown great compassion by taking the lead in providing care for a cow in critical condition near TR Type Masjid Road in Bistupur.

A few days ago, the cow unfortunately suffered injuries when it was hit by a vehicle that had lost control.

When Vivek Gupta learned about the cow’s situation, he quickly established a temporary shelter at the accident site to provide immediate care.

With Gupta overseeing the situation, the cow is getting the necessary medical care.

In addition, he has made sure that the cow’s nutritional needs are taken care of by providing sufficient food during its recovery.

The story of the cow’s pain rapidly circulated on social media, deeply affecting numerous individuals.

Harsh Kumar Jha, a kind-hearted senior citizen and former Managing Director of Tata Metaliks Company (now Tata Steel), made a generous donation of seven thousand rupees to the society’s fund, with a specific focus on supporting the treatment of cows.

Brigadier PK Jha, a retired officer from the Indian Army, generously contributed twenty-one hundred rupees to support the recovery efforts.

Dr. Arun Kumar Jha, President of JAWS, conveyed his gratitude towards the donors and emphasized the significance of community participation in such initiatives.

"The support from the community is incredibly touching." Dr. Jha expressed how this demonstrates our shared empathy towards animals that require assistance.

In addition, he stressed the importance of drivers exercising greater caution to prevent similar incidents from occurring again.

Following this incident, JAWS kindly requests all city residents to drive with increased caution and attentiveness, particularly in areas where animals are often present.

We hope that this appeal will contribute to a decrease in the frequency of these unfortunate accidents.

The proactive actions taken by JAWS and the generous donations from community members such as Harsh Kumar Jha and Brigadier PK Jha demonstrate the community’s deep sense of responsibility and compassion for animal welfare.

The ongoing treatment and care of the injured cow showcase the incredible results that can be accomplished when people come together for a shared purpose.
