Jamshedpur DDC Manish Kumar Spearheads Intensive Voter Awareness Drive
’25 with 25′ and ‘Family Festival’ Initiatives Aim to Boost Voter Turnout in Jamshedpur District Elections
With the district elections just ten days away, Manish Kumar, the Deputy Development Commissioner and Senior Officer of the Sweep Cell, convened a pivotal meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium in Jamshedpur to galvanize voter awareness efforts and ensure maximum participation on May 25.
JAMSHEDPUR – As the countdown to the district elections enters its final stretch, the Deputy Development Commissioner and Senior Officer of the Sweep Cell, Manish Kumar, has taken charge of accelerating voter awareness initiatives across Jamshedpur. In a crucial meeting held at the Collectorate Auditorium, Kumar addressed officers and personnel of the Sweep Cell, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive action plan to engage voters and boost turnout on the polling day.
Kumar called upon the attendees to take a voter oath, reaffirming their commitment to participating in the democratic process and encouraging others to follow suit.
The meeting focused on devising strategies to reach out to various segments of the community, including residential societies, social organizations, booth awareness groups, electoral literacy clubs, schools, colleges, transgender communities, NGOs, bus and auto associations, PDS shops, Pragya Kendras, clubs, and restaurants.
In his address, Kumar underscored the significance of every individual’s vote in shaping the nation’s future, urging everyone to prioritize voting before proceeding with their daily activities.
Kumar highlighted the administration’s extensive voter awareness initiatives, particularly targeting urban voters, and emphasized the importance of everyone exercising their democratic right.
Following the directives of District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, a voter awareness program themed ’25 with 25′ and ‘Family Festival’ was conducted among the employees of the Tata Workers Union, with Kumar personally participating and encouraging each attendee to bring 25 people to the voting booth on May 25.
The Deputy Development Commissioner stressed the urgency of the task at hand, calling for a concerted effort over the next ten days to ensure the effective distribution of voter information slips, especially in urban areas, to facilitate seamless voter participation.
Kumar articulated the primary objective of the large-scale voter awareness campaign, which is to convey the significance of voting to every eligible voter in the district and encourage them to visit the polling booths with their families on the designated day.
With the clock ticking, the Sweep Cell team is gearing up to implement a comprehensive action plan that will maximize voter engagement and contribute to a high turnout on May 25, upholding the spirit of democracy in the Jamshedpur district elections.
