Corona causes 1 more death in Jharkhand on Sunday, total deaths now 1,072

Ranchi: coronavirus has taken one more life on Sunday in Jharkhand. This one death was reported from Bokaro district. With this the total number deaths caused by Corona virus in Jharkhand till Sunday has reached 1,072.

According to official data, 49 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Jharkhand on Sunday. The total number of infected persons in the state till Sunday has now reached 1,18,692.

On the other hand, 63 persons infected with coronavirus were also cured and discharged on Sunday in Jharkhand taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 1,17,067.

The state has tested 52,17,119 samples till date. Out of these only 1,18,692 samples have tested positive.

The state, for now, has only 553 active positive cases. As per official data, the recovery rate for Jharkhand till Sunday was at 98.63%, while the mortality rate hovers around 0.90%.

East Singhbhum district remains the worst affected district in terms of positive cases as well as number of deaths.
