Tata Auditorium Hosts Major AI Workshop for Local School Students

Professor Surjya K. Pal Engages Over 400 Students in AI Concepts and Applications

Over 400 students from various local schools including Gulmohur High School, Hill Top School, Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Little Flower School, Shiksha Niketan School, and Vivek Vidyalaya, gathered at the Tata Auditorium, Gulmohur High School, for a comprehensive workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

JAMSHEDPUR – The AI workshop, titled ‘Artificial Intelligence – Awareness and Potential,’ aimed to expand young minds’ understanding of AI’s rapidly evolving technologies and applications.

The event featured Professor Surjya K. Pal, a distinguished Mechanical Engineering expert from IIT Kharagpur, renowned for his extensive research and achievements, including multiple patents and a textbook on Digital Twins.

Professor Pal’s presentation delved into advanced AI topics such as Human vs Machine Sensors, Automated vs Autonomous Machines, and Brain Computer Interfaces, among others.

His dynamic delivery and in-depth knowledge kept the audience captivated throughout the 90-minute session, concluding with a vigorous Q&A, where students engaged actively, seeking insights from the esteemed professor.

This workshop also introduced an initiative for Gulmohur High School students to work on real-world AI projects under Professor Pal’s mentorship, enhancing their practical knowledge and skills in this cutting-edge field.

Special thanks were expressed to the Gulmohur High School managing committee, particularly Chairman Rakesh Sarangi and Secretary Monojit Chakravorty, for their role in facilitating this enriching experience.
