Jamshedpur Mithila Cultural Council to Celebrate Poet with Special Ceremony
The Jamshedpur Mithila Cultural Council has announced the unveiling of a statue of the renowned poet Vidyapati this Sunday, adding a cultural milestone to the city’s landscape.
JAMSHEDPUR – A new statue of the esteemed poet Vidyapati will be unveiled at Vidyapati Bhawan in Vidyapati Parishad, Golmuri, organized by the Jamshedpur Mithila Cultural Council.
The event will commence with a Rudrabhishek ritual at 1 pm, led by Pandit Vipin Kumar Jha among other respected pandits.
Council President Shishir Kumar Jha, alongside General Secretary Sujit Kumar Jha, detailed the event arrangements during a press conference.
Notable attendees will include Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai as the chief guest, with local dignitaries such as Sanjay Mishra, Dr. Ashok Avichal, Prakash Jha, and Ashok Kumar Das also present.
The program will feature Vidyapati Sangeet from 5 pm, directed by Pankaj Kumar Jha, showcasing local talents like Nilambar Chaudhary and Snigdha Jha.
The ceremony will culminate with the statue’s unveiling at 6:30 pm, marking a significant tribute to the poet’s legacy.
