Most of the major exit polls indicate a comfortable victory for NDA. While, a majority showed that it may gain a few seats over 303, the last time’s tally, a few also predicted that the NDA may very well achieve its target of 400 paar.

Narendra Modi is expected to secure a third term as Prime Minister of India, with most major exit polls predicting a comfortable victory for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The exit polls suggest that the NDA may surpass its 2019 tally of 303 seats, with some predicting it could achieve the ambitious target of 400 seats.

Pollsters’ Predictions

The BJP-led NDA is forecasted to win a significant majority in the Lok Sabha polls, improving its performance in several states currently governed by other parties. Various exit polls have projected different seat counts, but all indicate a strong showing for the NDA.

For instance, the India Today-Axis My India exit poll predicts the NDA winning between 361 and 401 seats, while the Republic PMarq poll gives the NDA 359 seats out of 543. The NewsX Dynamics poll projects 371 seats for the NDA. These predictions reflect a substantial improvement over the NDA’s 2019 performance of 352 seats.

The BJP is anticipated to continue its dominance in states like Gujarat and Uttarakhand, with significant gains in Uttar Pradesh and other electorally crucial regions.

Voter Sentiment and Predictions

If these exit poll predictions hold true on June 4, Narendra Modi will become the first Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to win three successive terms. The exit polls highlight Modi’s strong leadership and the extensive campaigning efforts of the BJP, including rallies and roadshows.

The India Today-Axis My India exit poll suggests that the NDA will win 67-72 seats in Uttar Pradesh, with the BJP alone securing 64-67 seats. The Times Now-ETG exit poll predicts 69 seats for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. In West Bengal, the BJP is expected to win 26-31 seats.

State-wise Breakdown

In states like Telangana and Tamil Nadu, the BJP is predicted to make significant inroads. The News18 exit poll suggests the BJP-led NDA could win 1-3 seats in Tamil Nadu and 2-3 seats in Kerala. The Times Now-ETG poll predicts the NDA securing one seat in Kerala.

In Maharashtra, exit polls predict a tight race between the NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc. The Axis My India poll forecasts the BJP winning 20-22 seats, while its allies Shiv Sena and NCP are expected to win 1-2 seats each.

Other states like Andhra Pradesh and Bihar are also expected to see strong performances by the BJP-led NDA. The News18 exit poll projects the NDA winning 19-22 seats in Andhra Pradesh, while the ABP C-Voter poll suggests the NDA could secure 21-25 seats in the state.

Overall, the exit polls indicate a significant lead for the BJP-led NDA in states like Haryana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Assam. In Punjab, the seats are likely to be distributed among various parties, with Congress and AAP expected to gain more seats.
