Dumka Police Intercept Ganja Smugglers Heading to Bihar

Dumka police apprehend two smugglers transporting ganja from Agartala, via Bengal, enroute to Bihar.

DUMKA – The Dumka police in Jharkhand acted on secret information to apprehend two smugglers who were enroute to Bihar from Agartala via Bengal.

Caught while leaving an auto rickshaw at a Tata showroom with plans to proceed to Bihar via Deoghar, the smugglers had on them nine kilograms of ganja.

Both accused were transporting the ganja in two full bags, and had traveled from Pakur to Dumka, aiming for Begusarai in Bihar.

The arrested suspects, Rajesh Mandal and Binod Kumar Sah, are residents of Begusarai and Lakhisarai respectively.

SDPO Noor Mustafa Ansari stated that further investigations are underway to ascertain other individuals involved in this gang.
