Vinod Singh Seeks Anticipatory Bail in Land Scam Case
Architect Linked to Ex-CM Hemant Soren Files for Bail Amid PMLA Charges
Architect Vinod Singh, an associate in the land scam case involving former CM Hemant Soren, has filed for anticipatory bail.
RANCHI – In the unfolding drama of a land scam case linked to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, architect Vinod Singh has approached the High Court for anticipatory bail.
Singh’s lawyer filed the petition in the special court of Ranchi under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), with the High Court slated to hear the case on Tuesday.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has already filed a Prosecution Complaint (PC) in the case, bringing further scrutiny to Singh’s involvement.
This legal action follows closely on the heels of a Prosecution Complaint submitted by ED officers on March 30, in the same special court under PMLA.
The primary defendants in this case, including former CM Hemant Soren and Bhanu Pratap, a land revenue employee from the Bargain area, are presently held in judicial custody at Birsa Munda Central Jail.
