Former MLA Girinath Singh Returns to RJD Fold, Welcomed by State President
Girinath Singh, after a stint with the BJP, has marked his return to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), rejoining the party at its office in Patna. This move comes amid speculations that Singh might be fielded by RJD from the Chatra parliamentary constituency in the upcoming elections.
RANCHI – Girinath Singh’s political journey has seen another significant turn as he rejoins the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), leaving behind his tenure with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The RJD’s state president in Bihar, Jagdanand Singh, officially welcomed him back into the party fold.
This reunion at the RJD office in Patna is seen as a strategic move, with expectations rising about Girinath Singh representing the party in the Chatra parliamentary seat.
Singh’s meeting with Lalu Yadav on March 30th at the Rabri residence fueled speculations about his return to RJD and his potential candidacy for the Chatra Lok Sabha seat.
Having served as an MLA from Garhwa four times, Girinath Singh’s political experience is substantial, with a notable tenure as the former state president of Jharkhand RJD.
His suspension from RJD six years ago over alleged contacts with BJP leaders led to his resignation and subsequent joining of BJP on March 25, 2019.
Now, with his return to RJD, Girinath Singh’s political career takes a new direction, signaling possible strategic moves by the party for the upcoming elections.
